What actually holds up in a Galveston kitchen.

Salt air, humidity, and daily traffic eat through the wrong finish in a season. Here is what we keep specifying - and what we have stopped using on the island.

We have been remodeling on Galveston for the better part of a decade. Salt air, humidity, and the constant cycle of guests in and out of beach homes wear materials harder than most inland projects. Over the years we have settled on a short list of finishes that consistently look as good after five years as they did the day we handed them over.

- More notes from the project will follow as we wrap up the punch list. If you have a question about anything covered here, send us a note through the form below and we will get back to you within one business day.
